NFL quarterback Kurt Warner retired yesterday. He had one of the strangest future Hall of Fame careers in professional sports. This photograph was made while playing for the New York Giants during a game against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, October 3, 2004.

David Burnett

Had a chance to meet one of my photography mentors Saturday, David Burnett. David started as an intern at Time magazine in 1967, covered the Vietnam War for Life magazine from 1970 - 72 and co-founded Contact Press Images in 1975. He was in town exhibiting his photographs of Bob Marley, made in 1976 - 77 while on assignment for Time.
